My suggestions. since his (her).
I loved it so much, I wanted to have another one for my office, so purchased this one. I first purchased a tear drop shaped humidifier (from the same company, Crane) for my bedroom.
I only wish Penguin was looking towards the ceiling. I knew the amount of output was a little less but was about $8 cheaper and so cute, I decided to try it.
Yes, it is cute, and do the basic work, but if I am buying one more, I would definitely go with the other one.Material used is not as good, water tank and its cap look a lot cheaper and the amount of mist seems much less., but I have to admit it still dose the work. mouth is not really angles upright, water accumulates inside the mouth and blocks a part of mist to come out.
you'll still be happy to have this, but definitely the tear drop shaped one for a larger room.
I have hard time understanding why this item is popular. It makes so much noise that you can't keep it on a night stand next to your bad. It's very difficult to fill. It leaks all over. I've had a replacement but the issues were not resolved. I returned it.
Arrived in 2 days, nice packaging. Working really nice, lots of white fancy fog, but quite.
I own five of these humidifiers. I really like this feature because you can set the moisture level and leave it when you turn the unit on or off. The frog is like the leopard, dragon, and elephant in that the moisture is blown straight up into the air. My favorite one is the penguin because his head is movable, you can turn the penguin's head in different directions to direct the moisture to different areas of a room. I do NOT like this feature because you have to adjust the moisture level every time you turn the unit on or off. Of the five I own the penguin is the ONLY one you can do this with. I own the Penguin, the Leopard, the Dragon, the Elephant, and the Frog. Which brings me to the last unit I own, the frog.
Next, the leopard, the dragon and the elephant are nice units but you can not adjust the direction of the moisture, it is blown straight up into the air. These first four units I have described have a separate on/off switch from the moisture volume control knob. However, the frog's moisture control is also the on/off control. This is why the frog is my least favorite of all five of the units.
The base arrived with a small crack in it. Filling the top with water and placing it on the base just caused the small crack to become a huge crack and needless to say, I had to send it back. I definitely do not recommend this product. Even if it did not arrive already cracked, it is so top-heavy that I really think it would have wound up cracked anyway due to the weight of the water pressing down on the flimsy plastic base.
